Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp‘s August update will soon see the addition of a collection of underwater-themed items.

Today (July 27), the official Twitter account for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp announced that the mobile spin-off game will be receiving a new under the sea theme on August 8, 2021.

“It’s almost August!” the post read. “In August, the campsite will be venturing far beneath the waves and discovering all kinds of underwater worlds! There will be a ton of really cool items!”

The promotional image linked shows a plethora of underwater items including a new mermaid outfit and hairstyle collection, beach outfits, scuba gear, coral-themed furniture and more.

Pocket Camp‘s previous update from March 2021 saw the addition of the Sanrio character collection. Players were able to obtain Sanrio-themed items inspired by the characters Hello Kitty and Kuromi.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons also introduced Sanrio characters and items to the game, along with a Mario update that included working warp pipes as well as outfits inspired by the iconic characters.

New Horizons also introduced two nature-themed festivals for the month of April, with the second event being in honour of Nature Day.

In a new interview, Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser confirmed that more content is coming for Animal Crossing: New Horizons after the game was absent from the Nintendo Direct at E3 2021.

Elsewhere, Nintendo is keeping the official title of its sequel to The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild a secret to avoid spoilers.
