Returning with their first album in four years, Kent’s Feed The Rhino build on their bruising metal / hardcore crossover with this new slice of aggression.
There’s plenty of the usual mayhem on offer to get you crowdsurfing and diving into the circle pit, but this time there are softer undertones too - reminiscent of grunge-era bands like Alice In Chains. ‘Losing Ground’ highlights those influences with its sludgy riffs and surprisingly slick chorus, but for the most part the left-turn doesn’t feel predictable or jarring. In fact ‘The Silence’ is an impressive comeback for the most part, and something that should sustain the five-piece through 2018 and beyond.
