2021 is looking up for music lovers: for a limited time only, Amazon is offering three months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free, and up to six months free with the purchase of an Echo Dot 3rd or 4th gen smart speaker. The deal is available at both US and UK stores.

For the uninitiated, Amazon Music Unlimited is a music streaming service that we think is a worthy rival to Spotify and Apple Music. It offers access to over 70 million tracks, including the latest releases, and has essential features like ad-free and offline listening as well as voice controls with Alexa.

Speaking of Alexa, if you purchase an Echo Dot, Amazon will throw in six months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free. The Dot is a diminutive but powerful smart speaker that has Alexa built-in and interfaces with your other smart home appliances, meaning you can use it as a control centre for your house.

While the subscriptions will renew automatically after the free period – it’ll set you back $/£9.99 a month thereafter – you can cancel at any time if you find the app’s not your groove. These deals run only until January 11 too, so we’d recommend signing up as soon as possible.
