Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande have shared the video for their new collaboration, ‘Rain On Me’, taken from the former’s forthcoming album ‘Chromatica’.

‘Rain On Me’ follows on from the February release of the album’s lead single ‘Stupid Love’, with the full record being released next Friday (May 29).

Directed by Roberto Rodriguez, the video sees the duo dancing in a futuristic setting as the rain pours, interspersed with clips of Gaga lying on the ground in a pose similar to that on the ‘Chromatica’ artwork with a sword stuck in her thigh. Watch it below now.

Gaga spoke to Zane Lowe about the collaboration yesterday, saying, “I think maybe [Grande] assumed that it’d be that she came in and I was like, ‘Here, just sing this and thank you so much for your time’. But instead I asked her what she needed, how she wanted to do things.”

Fans had been speculating about a collaboration between the pair after they found a series of clues in a birthday post Grande wrote to Gaga on Instagram, and a collaboration was confirmed last month when Gaga released the ‘Chromatica’ tracklist.

The two artists had been releasing different pieces of artwork tied to ‘Rain On Me’ since Friday (May 15), which you can see below.

Lady Gaga recently shared full details of her sixth album ‘Chromatica’ and its new release date. The album was postponed in March from its initial date of April 10 due to the coronavirus pandemic, with Gaga saying it “just doesn’t feel right” to release it.

Ariana Grande also revealed last week that she and Doja Cat have recorded a new song together, saying: “I remember when I first wrote it and sent it to her, she was in the shower and she was like, ‘Bitch, I love this.'”
