OZZY OSBOURNE: Animated Music Video For POST MALONE Collaboration ‘It’s A Raid’ To Premiere Today

The official animated music video for Ozzy Osbourne's song "It's A Raid" will make its online debut today (Thursday, February 11) at 4:30 p.m. PST / 7:30 p.m. EST on Osbourne's YouTube channel. The track is the legendary heavy metal singer's a second collaboration with Post Malone, following Ozzy's joint appearance with the rapper on the song "Take What You Want". Fifteen minutes before the "It's A Raid" premiere, Osbourne and Malone will be in the chat room answering questions. "It's A Raid" and "Take What You Want" both appear on Ozzy's latest album, "Ordinary Man", which was released in February 2020. "It's A Raid" is the second-to-last song on the LP, with "Take What You Want" serving as the album's closer. During a SiriusXM listening party and question-and-answer session, Osbourne revealed that "It's A Raid" was inspired by an incident in 1972, while he and the other members of BLACK SABBATH were recording "Vol. 4" near Bel Air, California. After Osbourne accidentally hit a button that triggered an alarm, the police swarmed the band's house, which was stocked with piles of marijuana and cocaine. "I'm shouting, 'IT'S A FUCKIN' RAIIIIID,' Osbourne said, adding that he swept as much cocaine as he could into a container, retreated to the bathroom and then snorted it until the police left. "I've got coke coming out of my fucking ears! I didn't sleep for four days after that," he said. "Ordinary Man" was produced by Andrew Watt, who has also produced Malone and brought the two artists together. Watt also played guitar on Ozzy's latest LP, co-writing and performing the music with GUNS N' ROSES bassist Duff McKagan and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith. "It was a lot of fun to do though it's a lot different from my other albums," Ozzy said. "We recorded it quickly, which I haven't done since the first BLACK SABBATH album. This made it a different process, which I actually enjoyed." Beyond the core band, "Ordinary Man" features a who's-who of Ozzy friends and collaborators including Elton John and Tom Morello. "It all just came together," Ozzy explains of the guest stars. "Slash is a dear friend of mine, as is Elton. When I was writing 'Ordinary Man', it reminded me of an old Elton song and I said to Sharon, 'I wonder if he would sing on it?' We asked, and lo and behold, he agreed and sings and play piano on the song."
