STAYC ASAP Teaser

STAYC have unveiled a colourful video for their newest single ‘ASAP’.

In the vibrant clip, the K-pop rookie girl group show off their sleek choreography on a comic-inspired set as they perform the summery synth-driven song. Rapper J kicks open the track with confident lines like “Time is running boy” and “You know I’m so dope“, before vocalists Seeun and Sumin jump in.

The song is the lead track from their freshly released second mini-album ‘STAYDOM’, which dropped today (April 8). Aside from ‘ASAP’, the project includes two new songs, ‘So What’ and ‘Love Fool’, plus a TAK remix of their breakout debut single ‘So Bad’, which they released last year.

STAYC began teasing their comeback since late last month, after their agency High Up Entertainment confirmed to South Korean media that the girl group would return soon.

Short for Star To A Young Culture, STAYC originally made their debut in November 2020 with the single album ‘Star To A Young Culture’, featuring title track ‘So Bad’. The album peaked at Number Six on the Gaon Album Chart, while ‘So Bad’ reached number 159 on the Digital Chart.

The group, consisting of members Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon and J, are the pet project of hitmaking producer duo Black Eyed Pilseung, known for hits like TWICE’s ‘Cheer Up’ and Apink’s ’Dumhdurum’.
