Hell Let Loose

Hell Let Loose officially launches on PC via Steam today (July 27) after being in Early Access for two years.

Hell Let Loose is a World War II multiplayer tactical FPS featuring 50 vs. 50 gameplay set across 11 maps depicting battles from the Western and Eastern Fronts of the war, including Utah and Omaha beaches, Carentan, and Stalingrad.

The game initially launched on Steam Early Access in June 2019 and the official launch includes the introduction of Update 10, which features the Eastern Front.

This free update also adds two additional maps, Kursk and Stalingrad, as well as more than 20 new weapons and gadgets, four new vehicles, and Soviet forces into the game.

Studio Head and Lead Designer at Black Matter, Max Rea said: “After two years in Steam Early Access that’s seen 10 major content updates and overhauls & improvements to every major system imaginable, it is hugely exciting to finally launch Hell Let Loose on PC.

“Today doesn’t mark the end of the road however; it’s merely the end of the beginning. We have big plans to continue building Hell Let Loose as an evergreen title for years to come, and we look forward to bringing this authentic World War II experience to new generation consoles later this year.”

The game is also set to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PS5 later this year.

In our NME review of Hell Let Loose, Andy Brown said: “Despite a very challenging start to the game, Hell Let Loose delivers a near-unparalleled experience as a gritty, hardcore WW2 shooter.

“With a deep layer of big-picture strategy and maps that perfectly capture the devastation of war, there are few games in the genre that bring so much to the blood-soaked table.”
