Three Men And A Baby

Disney+ has announced that it’s planning a remake of 1987’s Three Men And A Baby.

According to Deadline, Woke director Mo Marable will helm the project while Zac Efron will star, marking his return to Disney after his breakout role in the High School Musical franchise.

The script has been written by Will Reichel, while Gordon Gray, who produced Ben Affleck’s The Way Back is on board to produce.

The original Three Men And A Baby starred Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson as New York bachelors who find themselves having to care for a love child of one of the men.

The film was directed by Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy and was the first live-action Disney feature to cross the $100 million mark at the domestic box office. A sequel followed in 1990 called Three Men And A Little Lady.

Marable, who has served as an executive producer on episodes of VEEP, Insecure, It’s Always Sunny, The Last OG, and Lodge 49, is also set to direct the None Of The Above pilot for Disney.

Meanwhile, a host of new shows have been announced to come to the Disney+ streaming service in February.

The likes of Lost, 24 and How I Met Your Mother will all be available to stream on the new Star section of the service, which launches on February 23 and promises to “double the amount of content available to watch on Disney+”.

Also set to come to the service include Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, The X-Files, Atlanta, Black-ish and “a selection of titles” from the Die-Hard franchise.

With “hundreds” of titles yet to be announced, Disney+ has also announced a pair of Star Originals shows.
