The Answer 03. Faster Man 04. Clarity 05. Come Alive 06. Exhale Last December, Rose underwent surgery for an undisclosed ailment, causing the cancelation of the band's U.K. shows as the support act for ALTER BRIDGE and SHINEDOWN. In a 2018 interview with CrypticRock.com, Rose admitted that he no longer parties as hard as he once did while on the road with SEVENDUST. "We are not the way that we used to be as far as the self-inflicted damage we put on ourselves with extracurricular stuff," he said. "Some of the guys are in tip-top shape. Me, I tend to have a few more beers or cocktails maybe than the other guy, but I get my rest." In a 2018 interview with Drummer Visions Magazine, Morgan stated about what got him to play drums to begin with: "My dad basically started me. He played guitar and he wanted someone to jam with, so he bought me a kit when I was really young. Then I got into sports and kind of deserted playing drums, but it was always something I wanted to do. I had a buddy of mine that said, 'I have a band that plays parties and stuff,' so I got a kit and started playing covers at parties, no venues or anything. But I liked it so much that I wanted to learn something. I went to MI for six months and never went to school, I just partied, but I met up with some people who were in the scene and I basically played the whole role of being in a band without ever playing. I went back to Atlanta and started playing at parties again, and a band that was from Atlanta came to one of the parties and asked if I'd be interested in playing in their band. I got the gig but they broke up pretty quick. My name was getting around a little more. Then I started another band by myself, and we didn't have the best band but we were determined. The singer wasn't quite good enough. We got rid of almost everyone in the band and put together another band. That one lasted a few years. But there just wasn't a good vibe in that band. So then we started this band." SEVENDUST's 13th studio album, "Blood & Stone", was released on October 23 via Rise Records. The follow-up to 2018's "All I See Is War" was once again tracked at Studio Barbarosa in Gotha, Florida with producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who has previously worked with ALTER BRIDGE and SLASH, among others.

TED NUGENT Says GEORGE FLOYD Was ‘A Punk Thug Criminal Who Committed Suicide On Fentanyl’

Outspoken conservative rocker Ted Nugent has defended the fired Minneapolis police officer charged with murder in connection with the death of George Floyd, insisting that the 46-year-old man's death was allegedly from a drug overdose and not caused by the officer planting his knee in the back of Floyd's neck. Floyd was killed in May by police officer Derek Chauvin in an incident caught on camera. Chauvin kneeled on Floyd's neck for nearly ten minutes while Floyd was handcuffed. Chauvin was later charged with second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, but his attorneys argued that Chauvin acted on his training from the Minneapolis Police Department in the use of a "Maximal Restraint Technique" and did so out of concern that Floyd might harm himself or the officers struggling to arrest him. The attorney also cited the autopsy conducted on Floyd that found fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system, a combination of drugs the attorney said is known as a speedball. Earlier today (Friday, November 6), Nugent — a vocal supporter of the Republican Party and various associated conservative causes — took part in a Facebook Live on his official Facebook page, and he said (beginning at around 10-minute mark in video below): "Call your mayor, call your senator, call your congressman, call your governor. Let 'em know you stand for law and order. And you might wanna mention that those cops in Minneapolis did not kill George Floyd; George Floyd killed himself with fentanyl. Tell the world that the Minneapolis cops didn't kill George Floyd, the thug punk that ruined his family's lives, ruined his neighborhood, ruined his fellow man, ruined everywhere in America where George Floyd went, 'cause he was a punk thug criminal who ingested fentanyl and committed suicide on fentanyl. The cops had to subdue him. He was gagging and couldn't breathe all by himself in the back seat. "Tell me you know of this," he continued. "Tell me you know that George Floyd killed himself with fentanyl. And the cops are completely innocent. They were serving and protecting. They had to subdue the wildly violent, fighting punk thug George Floyd. "We're gonna give George Floyd a hero's burial, Democrat Marxist idiots? Holy God in heaven. I know that we can be really stupid as a species, but Nancy Pelosi and her Marxist gangbangers have taken stupid to a whole new level. "George Floyd killed himself," Ted reiterated. "The cops were subduing a violent, fighting, lifetime thug who ruined everyone's life in his life. And he's a hero to Nancy Pelosi and the thug party Democrat Marxist gangbangers. "Holy God. Holy God — somebody speak up. "Call your mayor, call your senator, call your congressman, call your governor in every state and let them know we know that George Floyd killed himself, and the cops had to subdue him because he was violently fighting them and endangering their lives and the lives of the public. So they subdued him. They didn't kill him. "George Floyd killed himself with fentanyl. And if you're dumb enough to take fentanyl… What the fuck? Oh my God." A board member of the National Rifle Association, Nugent has drawn intense criticism for his controversial past remarks, including telling then-president Barack Obama to "suck on my machine gun." He also made inflammatory remarks about Hillary Clinton, calling her a "devilbitch" who "hates everything good about America." In a lengthy Facebook post in 2016, Nugent said Obama and Clinton should be tried for treason and hanged over their handling of the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. Last year, Nugent defended Donald Trump after the U.S. president was accused of making racist remarks about Democratic congresswomen from black and minority ethnic backgrounds.

"Begin Again", the new music video from FATES WARNING, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's latest album, "Long Day Good Night", which is being released today (Friday, November 6) via Metal Blade Records. FATES WARNING has been a formidable presence in progressive metal for more than 35 years, helping to shape and drive the genre without ever compromising its integrity or losing relevance. They return in 2020 with "Long Day Good Night", the most epic and longest album of its storied career, mixed by Joe Barresi. "The styles of music we've written distinguish this record from the rest of our catalogue," states vocalist Ray Alder. "There are some songs with electronics and some with a nice ethereal feel, as well as some pretty straightforward grooves, at least for us. And there are also some pretty heavy songs. We tried to give the listener a host of different things to listen to, as opposed to an album where every song sounds the same." As such, the album is something of a rollercoaster ride, moving through various moods and making for perhaps their most vital release to date. Guitarist Jim Matheos began writing the album in mid-2019, working closely with Alder for about a year, honing the songs, completing 13 for their 13th full-length — which, uncoincidentally, has a total running time of 72:22. Despite their long history of making records, Alder makes it clear that the songs take a lot of work to realize. "Like all albums, nothing comes easy," he says. "It's quite a process to go from the idea to the actual finished song. Sometimes you think you're done with it, then you hear something else and you have to try that. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but you at least have to try it just so you know that in the end you've done everything possible to make it as good as it can be. Jim and I spent practically every day for the last year writing this album. I am very happy with the outcome, and with the blend of styles. I guess I could say that this album represents all of the years that we have been together." The record also features guest appearances from touring guitarist Mike Abdow, who contributed some solos, plus PORCUPINE TREE/THE PINEAPPLE THIEF drummer Gavin Harrison, who plays on "When Snow Falls". "Under The Sun" sees the band incorporating a full string section for the first time. "Long Day Good Night" track listing: 01. The Destination Onward 02. Shuttered World 03. Alone We Walk 04. Now Comes The Rain 05. The Way Home 06. Under The Sun 07. Scars 08. Begin Again 09. When Snow Falls 10. Liar 11. Glass Houses 12. The Longest Shadow Of The Day 13. The Last Song

"I can't believe it's been five years already," said Hagar. "I set out to do one season of 'Rock & Roll Road Trip' to see if I could pull off my own TV show and enjoy doing something I'd never done before. I never dreamed we'd do 56 episodes and five seasons. It's been a blast." "Having been here for every show and shoot since day one, it has truly been amazing to see this series grow into the program it is today," said AXS TV executive producer Stephen Stormer. "While this is the finale, we're going out on a high note — pulling out all the stops with an unforgettable evening packed with music, memories, and a whole lot more, as we celebrate what the last five years have meant to us. We are so grateful to our many fans who have followed along on this incredible rock odyssey, and we hope that they will join us to rock out one last time in this unique live series finale."

MYLES KENNEDY Says His New Solo Album Has ‘A Lot More Electric Guitar’ Than ‘Year Of The Tiger’

ALTER BRIDGE frontman Myles Kennedy spoke to Germany's Radio Bob! about his recently completed second solo album. The LP was tracked at Studio Barbarosa in Gotha, Florida with the same team that worked on 2018's "Year Of The Tiger", including producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette, engineer Jef Moll, as well as drummer Zia Uddin and bassist Tim Tournier. Speaking about how the new LP compares to "Year Of The Tiger", Myles said (see video below): "There's still the acoustic element there, but there's a lot more electric guitar, and there's a lot more solos. I wanted this to be a guitar record. "My first love, people are discovering, is guitar. I genuinely love the instrument, I love improvising, I love playing leads, and I wanted to have a record that showcased that and allowed me the ability to do more of that. "The first record, 'Year Of The Tiger', was more acoustic-based, and it was more about the narrative of the songs," Myles added. "Not to say that the narrative is not crucial on this next batch of tunes, but a lot of it is about the guitar, and I wanted to define that on this." According to Kennedy, the lyrical themes on his new solo album were inspired by some of the pandemic, civil unrest and charged political rhetoric that the American public has been subjected to in recent months. "Yeah, it was definitely informed by the world as we know it right now — though not every single song," he said. "It's gonna depend on what makes the cut. I recorded 14 songs for it, so depending on what ends up being on the record, a lot of this is touching on the crazy times we're living in." Last month, Kennedy told Terrie Carr of the Morristown, New Jersey radio station 105.5 WDHA that it was a joy to reconnect with Uddin, Tournier and Baskette for the making of the new LP. "Oh, yeah, it was great," he said. "It was great, because we actually drove [to the studio in Florida]. So Zia, my drummer, who, we've played together for the last 30 years, off and on, since we were in high school. He's, in my opinion, one of the greatest rock and roll drummers alive; he's so good, it's mind-boggling. So we started driving. We left Spokane, with the gear in tow. And then we met Tim about halfway. I think we met somewhere in Tennessee, maybe. Then we after driving to Orlando, we all quarantined. Zia did his drums and then he went home, and then Tim finished up. He hung around for a little while. And then I was there for, I think, seven weeks with Elvis." He continued: "It's a fun environment. We all love each other dearly. I'm serious when I say this: we're a bunch of middle-aged children. I mean, it's as if we've taken a time machine and we're in the seventh grade. And the humor is ridiculously silly. I don't even know how to articulate how ridiculous it gets when you put all of us in a studio together. [Laughs]" Myles's tour in support of "Year Of The Tiger" featured music from the album as well as selections from Myles's work with ALTER BRIDGE, THE MAYFIELD FOUR and SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY AND THE CONSPIRATORS.

WHITESNAKE brings together some of the most-passionate music of its multi-platinum career on "Love Songs", a new collection that contains remixed and remastered versions of the group's best love songs. It's the second release in the band's "Red, White and Blues Trilogy", a series of compilations organized by musical themes that began this summer with "The Rock Album" (white) and will conclude next year with "The Blues Album" (blue). The new collection includes a mix of hits and deep tracks that were originally released between 1987 and 2011 on five WHITESNAKE studio albums and David Coverdale's third solo album, "Into The Light". "Love Songs" is being released today (Friday, November 6) as a CD , as a double-LP set pressed on 180-gram red vinyl, and digitally. Like "The Rock Album", Coverdale says all the tracks on "Love Songs" have been revisited, remixed and remastered. "Some have been musically embellished where my co-producer Michael McIntyre, my new mixer Christopher Collier and I felt it appropriate or necessary to bring out the best in these songs," he explains. Coverdale continues: "As most of you know, pretty much all the songs I write are love songs in some way, shape or form. These are some of my favorites. Not all are ballads. Some are out and out rockers with powerful romantic themes…and of course…include heavy breathing in all of them!!" In addition to the album tracks "Don't You Cry" and "Midnight Blue", the set also introduces three previously unreleased outtakes from the "Into The Light" album sessions: "With All Of My Heart", "Yours For The Asking" and "Let's Talk It Over". Dutch death doom elite ASPHYX will release its 10th studio album, "Necroceros", on January 22, 2021 via Century Media Records. The LP was recorded at Tom Meier's Tom Meier Studio and at Paul Baayens's The Mörserstudio, and mixed and mastered by Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann at Greenman Studios. It once again features front cover artwork by Axel Hermann. The official music video for the first single from the disc, "Botox Implosion", can be seen below. The clip was filmed by Maurice Swinkels of Younique Film (LEGION OF THE DAMNED, EXODUS, KATAKLYSM). ASPHYX frontman Martin Van Drunen commented: "We actually wanted to film this on Sunset Boulevard [in] L.A., where most of the pathetic subjects of this song have their residence, but due to the pandemic, it was best not to fly over to the USA. So since it's a fast-shredding and written-in-the-typical-humorous-death-metal-gore-tradition track, we put a few laughable elements in it. Fortunately, good old Turock in Essen was so friendly to let us film there and where we're usually not that keen on shooting videos, with this one, we had quite some fun. Still, it is a helluva brutal tune!" "Necroceros" track listing: 01. The Sole Cure Is Death 02. Molten Black Earth 03. Mount Skull 04. Knights Templar Stand 05. Three Years Of Famine 06. Botox Implosion 07. In Blazing Oceans 08. The Nameless Elite 09. Yield Or Die 10. Necroceros Van Drunen previously stated about "Necroceros": "The first recordings for 'Necroceros' started somewhere in November 2019. Mainly just rough ideas. We hired Tom's studio for a couple of jam sessions so we could record as soon as we thought something had potential. We finished about six or seven songs, but after a few listenings we decided there had still quite some work to be done. "After the three previous albums and this one being ASPHYX's 10th official full studio record, we were very well aware that the standard had to be incredibly high. Our advantage was that for the first time we had a steady lineup. Since 'Incoming Death', we were damned good 'worked in' together, one 'felt' what the other wanted or where he was music-wise going. With Paul having tons of riffs on the shelves, the earlier takes and the unexpected rapidly spreading COVID-19 outbreak and thus all our gigs being canceled one after the other, we booked Tom once more for a bunch of jam-recordings. Which turned out marvellously... "It took two weekends to finally arrange all songs and tape the drum-tracks. Going completely berserk while playing and being totally satisfied with the variety, rawness, brutality and dynamics of each particular track, we were 100% certain that we were heading in the right direction. "Long before all the above was happening, I already had introduced 'Necroceros' as a working title. It came out spontaneously, sounded powerful and since we used the word 'Death' in every release title, so did 'Necro'. The idea was a sci-fi fantasy entity on an eternal course, existing only to devour planets, turning universes into meaningless voids. And while the boys were laying guitars and bass over the drums I searched and wrote the themes and lyrics for every single track. "To mix with Seeb was a shot in the dark, but he had told me one of his wishes was to ever be able to mix a death metal album for a band like ASPHYX. And since we wanted a fresh input, we gave him a chance by letting Seeb do a test and it fused simply excellent. "As always, we passed the working title on to Axel Hermann to skizz about and let him throw his morbid imagination over it with detailed bits and pieces. And once more he didn't let us down with another brilliant masterpiece. "And here we are. Something old, something new, something krushing, something sparkling, something alcoholic, something genius, but all very, very ASPHYX!" ASPHYX's previous and much acclaimed studio album "Incoming Death" was released in September 2016 and entered the official sales charts in various European countries as follows: Germany: No. 30, Switzerland: No. 67 and Belgium (Wallonia): No. 78. ASPHYX is Martin Van Drunen (vocals), Stefan "Husky" Hüskens (drums), Paul Baayens (guitars) and Alwin Zuur (bass).

KILLER BE KILLED will release its sophomore album, "Reluctant Hero", on November 20 via Nuclear Blast. The third single from the LP, "Inner Calm From Outer Storms", can be streamed below. The supergroup, which is comprised of Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, ex-SEPULTURA), Troy Sanders (MASTODON) Greg Puciato (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN), and drummer Ben Koller (CONVERGE, ALL PIGS MUST DIE, MUTOID MAN), previously released its self-titled debut album in 2014 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Troy said of the song: "'Inner Calm From Outer Storms' is about having the ability to sense a distant or unseen target. It explores a journey of reckless abandon where the destination may, or may not, actually exist." Puciato agreed, saying the lyrics reference "the idea of being open to the freedom of having chaos be a state of existence." "Reluctant Hero" track listing: 01. Deconstructing Self-Destruction 02. Two years ago, Max confirmed to Metal Underground that KILLER BE KILLED had begun the songwriting process for its second LP. "We already demoed for it; we got 10 songs out of it," he said at the time. "[It came out] fantastic. Troy is more involved, which is what I wanted from the beginning. So that's gonna be great." Drummer Dave Elitch (ex-THE MARS VOLTA) played on KILLER BE KILLED's first CD but was unable to continue with the band due to scheduling conflicts with his other group, ANTEMASQUE. For their live debut at the 2015 Soundwave festival in Australia, Cavalera, Sanders, Puciato and Koller were joined by Juan Montoya (MONSTRO, ex-TORCHE), who also performed on the KILLER BE KILLED debut album. "Killer Be Killed" sold around 5,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 58 on The Billboard 200 chart. BLACKMORE'S NIGHT has released its new holiday song "Here We Come A-Caroling", taken from the forthcoming four-track EP of the same name. The song is a beautiful rendition of the classic Christmas carol, which is being given a new-yet-traditional sound by Candice Night and Ritchie Blackmore. It's the first taste of the upcoming EP, which will arrive on December 4 via earMUSIC, the global independent rock and contemporary music label of Edel Germany GmbH. The "Here We Come A-Caroling" lyric video, with wonderful animations and festive illustrations, can be seen below. BLACKMORE'S NIGHT was founded in 1997 by Blackmore and Night to stage their mutual love for traditional medieval and folk-rock music. Blackmore has shaped the hard rock scene for decades as one of the most influential and notorious guitarists ever, first with DEEP PURPLE and later with RAINBOW. "Nature's Light", BLACKMORE'S NIGHT's eleventh studio album, will be released in the spring of 2021, followed by a reissue of the band's entire catalog later in the year. To bridge the time while waiting for "Nature's Light" to be finally released, BLACKMORE'S NIGHT decided to record a new Christmas-themed EP and give their fans something special to celebrate the holy days with. "Here We Come A-Caroling" will become available on limited-edition 10-inch translucent green vinyl as well as a limited-edition CD digipak and digital. "Nature's Light" is an honest declaration of love to the folk music of the Renaissance era, deeply inspired by myths and legends of times that are long gone and driven by the fiery relationship between the two married songwriters. Max Vaccaro, general manager of earMUSIC, says: "We celebrate the 'homecoming' of a true music legend: BLACKMORE'S NIGHT started its wonderful musical journey with Edel in 1997. Today, decades later, it is a joyful occasion to welcome Ritchie and Candice back and to plan many years of exciting collaboration with them for their new music and a catalog that has reached the heart of millions of fans over the years." Blackmore and Night add: "On June 2, 1997, we released our first Renaissance folk-rock debut album: 'Shadow Of The Moon'. With devotion and professionalism, our new record label, Edel, brought 'Shadow Of The Moon' to the top of the charts, where it remained for 17 weeks, earning us our first gold record as BLACKMORE'S NIGHT, a project close to our hearts and as untouched territory, a new genre for us to bring to the world. "Our music is an escape from the stress and pressure of modern times. Journey back through time with us, to a simpler, magical time where music enters your heart and soul. "We are honored to be 'back home again' with our friends and colleagues of Edel. "BLACKMORE'S NIGHT has returned with our new CD, fans have been waiting for five years, and we are excited to be able to pair up again with Edel to bring it to them."
