Cardi B and BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK have released their debut LP ‘THE ALBUM’, including a collaboration with Cardi B on ‘Bet You Wanna’.

The hotly anticipated ‘THE ALBUM’ arrived today (Friday, October 2). Cardi’s involvement in the new BLACKPINK album was revealed earlier in the week after the girl group revealed its tracklist. Cardi hyped the collaboration up on Twitter: “Bardipink in your area. And the song is amazing”.

One of a kind, you can’t replace me / Time to shine, I buss down the AP,” Cardi raps in her verse. “The stakes is higher, let’s do what we both desire / On God like I’m in the choir / I bet you if you make me sweat, I’ll still be on fire.”

BLACKPINK teased ‘THE ALBUM’ prior to release by sharing a collaboration with Selena Gomez, ‘Ice Cream’, and previous single ‘How You Like That‘.

‘Bet You Wanna’ is the group’s third collaboration with a major American pop star in 2020 following their link up with Lady Gaga for her ‘Chromatica’ track, ‘Sour Candy’.

BLACKPINK marked the release of the album with a ‘COMEBACK LIVE’ event, which took place earlier today.

They also recently announced a new documentaryLight Up The Sky, which is set to premiere on Netflix on October 14.

Meanwhile, Cardi has reportedly filed to trademark ‘WAP’ for her next range of merchandise, with the rapper apparently set to release ‘WAP’-titled alcoholic and soft drinks.

Released back in August, Cardi’s Megan Thee Stallion collaboration has been a huge hit for both artists and went to Number One in both the UK and US.
