Tomorrow, the gates will open for Coachella 2024. Along with some of the biggest names in music, fans can expect some promising weather. Check out the latest weather forecast for the festival below.
The annual music and arts festival returns to its home at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert across the next two weekends. Weekend one begins tomorrow (April 11) and runs through Sunday (April 14). Weekend two will run from April 19 -21.
The festival will see performances from the likes of Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, Doja Cat, No Doubt, Blur, Peso Pluma, J Balvin, Ice Spice, Khruangbin, Jhené Aiko, Lil Uzi Vert, Justice, Deftones, Sublime, Jungle, Dom Dolla, Bleachers, Peggy Gou, John Summit, Grimes, LE SSERAFIM and more.
Festival attendees can expect some very promising weather over the festival weekend with sunny skies expected with a very slight chance of rain. See the latest forecast according to BBC Weather below.
Friday, April 12: Expect the sun to be shining bright on the first day of Coachella 2024. It will be a nice 32º (89º Fahrenheit) throughout the day with it dropping to 21º (69º Fahrenheit) later at night.
Saturday, April 13: Bright skies are set to return for the second day of the festival with a moderate breeze rolling through. The high will reach 27º (80º Fahrenheit) with temperatures cooling down with a low of 16º (60º Fahrenheit).
Sunday, April 14: To wrap up the final day of Coachella, the weather is set to be picture perfect with clear skies and a high of 24º (75º Fahrenheit). The evening will bring in a low of 16º (60º Fahrenheit).
Though the weather is set to be filled with sunshine and clear skies, the National Weather Service in San Diego began warning of “a moderate to high chance (60-90%) of winds over 30 mph across mountain passes into areas of the deserts,” today (April 11) per Deadline. The associated wind chill could drop temperatures even further than what’s currently forecast.
The slight chance of rain is very slim and expected to be minor and periodic. Per the National Weather Service: “The exact track of the low will determine how cold, windy and wet we get this weekend. As of right now, accumulations do not look impressive.”

In other Coachella news, rumours have been circulating online that Taylor Swift could make a surprise appearance at this year’s festival.
Elsewhere, Blur broke out a number of classic tracks at their Coachella warm-up gig last night (April 10).
The intimate live show took place at the Fox Theater in Pomona, California, yesterday evening, and came ahead of the huge set that the Britpop icons are set to break out at the fest later this weekend (Saturday, April 13).
