Creed Taylor, Jazz Producer Who Founded Impulse! Records, Dies at 93
Taylor was an in-house producer at ABC when he started the imprint, brought John Coltrane to the iconic label, and departed months later. He is credited for helping introduce bossa nova to the United States.
