Fall Guys

Devolver Digital has given Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout players a new glimpse at what they can expect from Season 2.

The short clip, which was posted on the publisher’s Twitter account, features players trying to climb over a castle wall. To get to the peak, however, players will have to push giant blocks and jump on top of them. This marks the first time the game will include moveable objects that play a direct role in level progression.

The new skins being introduced with season two include witches, mages, knights and dragons. More skins are expected to be included, but have not been revealed. A launch date for season two has also not been announced, but can be expected in early October once season one wraps on October 2.

Developer Mediatonic also confirmed recently that an upcoming update for the game will implement new mechanics, such as Big Yeetus, a giant rotating hammer that will be generated at random. Getting hit by the hammer can either give players a boost over the competition and shoot them forward, or send them crashing to the back of the line.

The battle royale game, which is currently available on PC and PS4, has smashed records within the first month of its launch, becoming the most downloaded PlayStation Plus game of all time, and selling over 7million copies on Steam.

The game has also raised US$1million for UK-based charity, Special Effect, which uses special technology to enhance the quality of life for people who have severe physical challenges due to a disability, traumatic injury or a chronic illness.

An officially licensed Fall Guys game is also being developed exclusively for a Chinese audience. It is currently unclear if the mobile port will see a global release.
