Funko Fusion is a new action puzzle game that is set to feature a number of Funko Pop! characters from across a range of beloved franchises.

Funko Fusion has been developed by 10:10 Games, a studio set up in 2021 by a number of former Traveller’s Tales developers who worked on the popular Lego games.

Funko Fusion is a co-op action puzzle game and will feature a roster of “over 60 characters” from franchises such as Jurassic World, Back to the Future, The Umbrella Academy, Jaws, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, M3GAN, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Chucky and Battlestar Galactica amongst others. Each character will come with their own unique ranged weapon, melee weapon, and special move.

“Funko Fusion is all about celebrating your favourite movies, TV shows, games, and more. We are huge fans of the franchises we’ve been able to bring to our game, and we can’t wait to show you more,” said developers.

The game will also feature four-player online co-op, but not local co-op (via PCGamer). “We made the decision to go online co-op for four players, because that’s where we think our player base is,” said former Traveller’s Tales head of design Arthur Parsons. He went on to say there are “surprises and secrets around every corner”.

“Experience a festival of fandom like never before in Funko Fusion,” reads the official description. “Play through iconic worlds and mashup characters inspired by some of your favourite franchises in an action-adventure game with uniquely authentic, irreverent humour from the creative minds of 10:10 Games.”

Funko Fusion launches on September 13 for Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC. Players won’t need any physical Funko Pop! collectables to play, though a number of figures inspired by the game look set to be released in the coming months.

In other news, Microsoft has confirmed a Xbox Games Showcase will take place next month, alongside a mysterious Direct.
