Glastonbury Festival's Strummerville area

Glastonbury Festival has announced the full 2024 line-up for Strummerville, featuring Frank Turner, Lambrini Girls and more.

The legendary Worthy Farm event will take place between June 26-30, boasting headline sets from Dua LipaColdplay and SZA, as well as performances from the likes of Shania TwainLCD SoundsystemLittle Simz and The National.

Following the initial wave of acts being confirmed in March, organisers have been drip-feeding separate posters for the festival’s many areas and stages – including Left FieldWoodsies, The Glade, the Acoustic StageSilver Hayes, The Common and The Park.

Today (May 16), Glastonbury has dropped the full day-by-day programme for Strummerville – its area dedicated to the late Clash frontman Joe Strummer, who played Glasto’s main stage in 1999.

Located high on the hill by Worthy Gate, the space offers “the festival’s finest viewpoint, Joe’s iconic 24-hour campfire, cafe and CasBar”. Its “humble” live stage hosts “some of the finest and eclectic talents out there”.

This year, it’ll be headlined by Dennis Just Dennis, Rompa’s Reggae Shack, Ged Lever and Cumbia Kid. Other artists on the bill include Calum Bowie, The Royston Club, Just Like Honey and Bel Cobain.

Frank Turner, who has already been confirmed for the Field Of Avalon, will take to the stage up at Strummerville on the Thursday night (June 27). Lambrini Girls are set to play a third slot there too, having previously been announced for Woodsies and Shangri-La‘s Peace venue.

On the Saturday (June 29), Fat White Family will deliver a special acoustic performance at Strummerville in addition to their main slot on Woodsies.

Yesterday’s announcement for The Park confirmed two new venues for this year’s event: The Wishing Well and Scissors. These will replace the Rabbit Hole, which has left the Glastonbury site after 17 years.

Further area announcements for Glastonbury Festival 2024 are expected in the coming days and weeks. Visit here for the full line-up and stage splits so far.

In 2011, Mumford & Sons treated fans to a surprise campfire show at Strummerville following their main slot on The Other Stage.

Glasto recently shared details of a new stage dedicated to South Asian talent as part of the Shangri-La area, with Bobby Friction, Anish Kumar, Nabihah Iqbal and Nikki Nair appearing on the bill.

The final batch of tickets for this year’s festival sold out in 20 minutes last month. A limited amount of coach/ticket packages were snapped up in 18 minutes three days prior.

Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis had revealed earlier that the event had seen its “highest percentage of ticket balances paid ever”. “Incredible. Thanks so much everyone,” she added.

In other news, Dua Lipa has said she “manifested” headlining Glastonbury “by album three” early on in her career. Her third studio record ‘Radical Optimism’ was released on May 3.
