In celebration of the upcoming release of Taylor Swift‘s new album, Instagram and Threads have announced hidden Easter eggs.

The pop star’s 11th album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ is set for release later this week (April 19) and in celebration of the album, the social media platform has shared fun hidden features for Swifties.

A secret album countdown is hidden on Swift’s official Instagram page. Fans can go to her account via the mobile app and access the countdown by pulling down on her page as if you were to refresh it. Once pulled, the album title is shown and the secret countdown will appear.

There are two other easter eggs on Threads via Instagram as well. Conversations that use any of the following hastags: #TTPD, #The Tortured Poets Department, #Tortured Poets, #TSTTPD, #Swifties or #Taylor Swift on Threads will reveal a special shimmer effect, while celebratory hearts will appear on-screen when someone “likes” a post tagged with any of the above tags.

Both Instagram and Threads have shared that there are more exciting experiences on their way in the coming days.

Elsewhere, Swift has sent fans on a mystery trail to uncover a secret message on Apple Music during the release week of her new album.

Apple has confirmed that one word a day will be hidden within Swift’s lyrics on the music streaming service. Each daily word will be found somewhere in Swift’s five playlists exclusively released on Apple Music last week, which relate to the five stages of heartbreak: denial (‘I Love You, It’s Ruining My Life’), anger (‘You Don’t Get to Tell Me About Sad‘), bargaining (‘Am I Allowed to Cry?’), depression (‘Old Habits Die Screaming’) and acceptance (‘I Can Do It With a Broken Heart’).

The full message will be unveiled on April 18, the day before Swift releases ‘The Tortured Poets Department’.

‘The Tortured Poets Department’ will follow Swift’s 2022 LP ‘Midnights’, and more recently the singer’s re-recordings of ‘Speak Now’ and ‘1989’.

She is set to return to the UK for her UK/EU leg of her ‘Eras’ tour later this year, where she will be joined by Paramore as a support act. Check out all dates and get any remaining tickets here.

In other news, the ‘Bejeweled’ singer was recently spotted with her boyfriend Travis Kelce  partying in the crowd for Bleachers and Dom Dolla at Coachella.

The couple attended this year’s edition of the Californian festival, whose first weekend took place from April 12-14. It’s the first time Swift has gone to the festival since her infamous 2016, now dubbed ‘Bleachella’ due to her surprise bleach-blonde hair.

Elsewhere, Courtney Love has branded Swift as “not important” and “not interesting as an artist”.
