Kanye West and Bianca Censori

Kanye West has been accused of punching a man in the face who had allegedly “sexually assaulted” his wife Bianca Censori in Los Angeles.

As reported by TMZ, the unnamed man alleges that Ye hit him during a night out on Tuesday (April 16), after he had “pushed or grabbed” Censori, although it is not believed that treatment was required for any injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department are said to be currently investigating the situation, after the man named Ye in his battery report.

In response to the allegations, a representative for the rapper said: “’Grabbed’ is grossly inadequate as a description of what happened. Bianca was physically assaulted.”

“The assailant didn’t merely collide into her. He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around, and then be blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted.”

Censori, an Australian architect and model, is thought to have married Ye in a private ceremony in December 2022, although it is not thought that the couple filed for a marriage licence.

Ye continues to be at the centre of controversy, with Jack Antonoff recently speaking about what he believes is the best way to deal with him.

“If I saw Kanye, I’d run up to him and be like, ‘Your diaper is so full, we have to change your diaper,” he said. “Your diaper needs to be changed, it’s a huge problem’.”

Underground producer TSVI also accused him of “stealing” a sample from his song ‘12345678’ on the track ‘Believe What I Say’ from 2021’s ‘Donda’. “Why am I finding out about this only now????? I need to get paid asap,” he wrote.

That was not the first time West has been accused of “stealing” samples. Ozzy Osbourne hit out against West and called him an “anti-Semite” for using Black Sabbath’s ‘Iron Man’ without permission last February. Wife Sharon subsequently called West out, saying he “fucked with the wrong Jew this time”.

West subsequently removed the ‘Iron Man’ sample from his song, but replaced it with a sample of his own song ‘Hell Of A Life’ – which also samples ‘Iron Man’.

Donna Summer‘s estate has also criticised the musician for using a sample of her seminal track ‘I Feel Love’ without permission. West also allegedly used a Backstreet Boys sample without their consent as well in his track ‘Everybody’, referencing their hit song.

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign also recently cancelled listening parties for their collaborative album ‘Vultures’. The first part of a trilogy of records, the album was released in February, but a string of ‘Listening Experiences’ across the US were swiftly cancelled.

The cancellations come on the heels of the two rappers’ headline slot at the Rolling Loud Festival in California last month, which caught some fans off-guard as it was structured as a listening event rather than a live performance.

It also follows speculation that the ‘Vultures 2’ album may not be released at all now. Originally, the sequel was set to drop on March 8, although this was later delayed and Ye hinted that he would not be releasing the two remaining LPs from the trilogy on streaming platforms.

‘Vultures 1’ was given a two-star review by NME, and criticised for its “degrading lyrics and messy mixes”.

In other news, West has been sued by a former Yeezy and Donda Academy student for allegedly threatening to “cage” his students. Trevor Phillips has accused the musician of a number of allegations including verbal abuse, threatening physical violence and comparing himself to Hitler.

While representatives have not yet responded to the allegations brought to light by Phillips, they have previously dismissed claims about the Donda Academy. In a past response from Ye’s lawyer (via NBC News), the former employees’ descriptions of the school were described as a “dystopian institution designed to satisfy Ye’s idiosyncrasies”.

“None of it is true and the allegations do a disservice to the Donda Academy’s current staff and students and their parents who will attest to their positive experience,” they said in a 2023 filing.
