SAINT ASONIA Feat. STAIND Guitarist, Ex-THREE DAYS GRACE Singer: Deluxe Edition Of ‘Flawed Design’ Now Available

SAINT ASONIA, featuring former THREE DAYS GRACE frontman Adam Gontier and STAIND guitarist/founding member Mike Mushok, has released the deluxe edition of its 2019 sophomore effort, "Flawed Design". The new version features two additional songs: "Say Goodbye" and "Weak & Tired". The digital deluxe edition is available here via Spinefarm Records. "Flawed Design" originally came out in fall 2019. The single "The Hunted", featuring GODSMACK's Sully Erna, was a Top 10 radio smash. Gontier told Audio Ink Radio about SAINT ASONIA's collaboration with Erna: "Mike and Sully started writing the song a few years ago. and they wrote the song with the intention of it being on a movie soundtrack, and it didn't end up being on the soundtrack, so the song was sitting around a few years. They played it for me, and I loved it. I tweaked a few things, and Mike tweaked a few things, and I came up with different melodies, and we revisited the song in the studio when we were making this record, and it turned out great. We asked Sully if he would want to guest on it, since he co-wrote it, and we're lucky to have him on the record." Gontier also talked about another track on the record, "Sirens", featuring a guest appearance by Sharon Den Adel from WITHIN TEMPTATION. "I've been a big fan of WITHIN TEMPTATION for years," Adam said. "They're a really cool band. When we wrote 'Sirens', I co-wrote that song with Dustin Bates from STARSET, and when we decided to add a guest vocalist, we passed around a few names, and Sharon was the one we really hoped we could get to say yes. And she did. It's definitely one of my favorite songs on the record." SAINT ASONIA sparked into life six years ago when Gontier and Mushok decided to turn their joint ambition to make music that is "raw, real, and straight from our hearts" into a new band and a fully-fledged studio outing. The result was their acclaimed self-titled debut, released in 2015, which charted Top 10 in Canada and entered the Billboard U.S. Rock Albums chart at #2. The album was driven by the Top 10 radio tracks "Better Place" and "Let Me Live My Life", as well as the high-concept video to the featured track "Fairy Tale". Given the pedigree and profile of the musicians involved — they are collectively responsible for 28 Top 10 U.S. rock radio hits, including 17 No. 1s — the demand was immediately there for SAINT ASONIA to take to the road. Following an inaugural main stage appearance at Rock On The Range in 2015, the band set off on U.S. amphitheater tours with BREAKING BENJAMIN and DISTURBED. In Europe, they guested on an arena run with MÖTLEY CRÜE, visiting the U.K., Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, and Finland, as well as playing several dates in Russia and Eastern Europe. As a consequence, Gontier has been back to the region for extensive solo acoustic shows.
