Tems has announced her anticipated debut album after a stellar showing at Coachella this past weekend.

Last night (April 15), Tems took to social media to announce her first-ever studio album, ‘Born In The Wild’, which is due to arrive in May, though a concrete release date has yet to be revealed.

The album’s tracklisting and other information, including guest features, have yet to be announced as well.

Watch the announcement trailer for Tems’ ‘Born In The Wild’ below.

The announcement comes two days after the singer-songwriter performed at Coachella and surprised fans in attendance at the Mojave stage when she brought out Justin Bieber and Wizkid to perform ‘Essence’.

The performance marked Bieber’s return to the Coachella stage, having performed as a guest during Ariana Grande‘s 2019 set and with Daniel Caesar for their hit ‘Peaches’ in 2022.

Bieber has kept a lower stage profile in recent years since revealing he was suffering from facial paralysis due to Ramsay Hunt syndrome in 2022. He recently turned down joining Usher during his Super Bowl Halftime performance, though the R&B star said he “understands” why, adding: “It’s a lot of pressure.”

Elsewhere during her set, Tems performed ‘Crazy Tings’, ‘Avoid Things’, ‘Replay’, ‘Me & U’ and ‘Free Mind’ among other hits.

Other surprise guest appearance highlights from this year’s Coachella included J Balvin bringing out Will Smith for a performance of the Men In Black theme songReneé Rapp introducing Kesha for a cover of the latter’s hit ‘Tik Tok’ and Olivia Rodrigo joining No Doubt to perform ‘Bathwater’ during the band’s set.
