Biffy Clyro, Machine Gun Kelly, Bastille and more have been added to the line-up for Twitch’s live-streamed coronavirus fundraiser.
The ‘Stream Aid’ event is underway now and will continue throughout the day (March 28). The stream is aiming to raise funds for the World Health Organisation (WHO) to stymie the spread of COVID-19.
Among the newly announced artists are Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil, Machine Gun Kelly, Bastille’s Dan Smith, Mumford & Sons’ Marcus Mumford, Stray Kids, Sigrid, and Cage The Elephant’s Matt Shultz.
They join previously confirmed acts like Diplo, Ellie Goulding, Charlie Puth and Die Antwoord in taking part in the 12-hour live-stream, which also feature competitions for games including Fortnite and is co-hosted with Amazon Music.
Viewers will be able to donate to WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund via the streaming link. At the time of writing, the stream has already raised $2.03 million (£1.63m). You can tune in and find the full list of artists scheduled to play here.
Organisers of the event said: “Throughout the day, we’ll host competitions featuring Fortnite and UNO, with talent such as Drew Taggart from The Chainsmokers, Lost Kings, Joe Jonas, and more who will be playing games throughout the show as part of our Twitch Rivals program.
“You’ll also see incredible musical performances from Ellie Goulding, Diplo, Cole Swindell, LAUV, Charlie Puth, Krewella, Die Antwoord, Jordin Sparks and more during breaks in the action. Plus, some of your favourite athletes will stop by, including Lando Norris, Aly Raisman, Greg Norman, and Richard Sherman with Darius Slay live on Twitch.”

Meanwhile, Twitch and Amazon Music are the latest entertainment platforms to unveil special digital events amid the pandemic.
TIDAL is gifting music fans with 12 hours of free filmed concerts including performances from Jay-Z, Rihanna, Meek Mill, Beyoncé, and others.
The daily ‘At Home With TIDAL’ streaming marathon kicked off on Wednesday (March 25). Tomorrow (March 28) TIDAL will air hip hop concerts, and on Sunday (March 29) it will broadcast R&B performances.
