The Boys finale

The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke has teased an infamous orgy episode as arriving in season three.

The creator of the Amazon Prime Video hit superhero series took to Twitter on Sunday (January 17) to share the title page of the script for the episode titled ‘Herogasm’.

Kripke revealed the episode, long-awaited by fans, will be the sixth episode of season three. He added the caption: “From day one, everyone dared me to make this episode. CHALLENGE MET MOTHERFUCKERS.”

The name of the episode points towards a Herogasm mini-series from the original graphic novels, in which The Seven travel to a secret island.

Explaining what happens on the island, one fan on Twitter wrote: “In the comics, Herogasm is when all the heroes go off grid for a while and have a vacation on a secret island where they ummmm, satisfy all their weird desires for a while.

“It’s extremely decadent and gross. And hilarious and awesome.”

According to Amazon, season two of The Boys had the most-watched global launch of an Amazon original series ever, up 89 per cent on the viewership figures for season one.

The series was renewed for a third season last July, hoping to shoot early this year – depending on coronavirus-imposed restrictions.

In a four-star review of season 2 of The BoysNME said: “The Boys may be the most adult superhero show on TV – but with its hotly-awaited return, it proves it’s the most fun too.”
