Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Release Date: Multiple characters can be seen from Chapter 5 Season 2.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has been out for a good while now and that means questions are being asked about when Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 will begin.

Thankfully, Epic Games has given us a suggestion on when we can expect the new season, and some leaks may have revealed its overall theme and some potential map changes.

When is ‘Fortnite’ Chapter 5 Season 3?

Chapter 5 Season 3 of Fortnite is currently set for May 24, 2024, according to the in-game timer showing the end of the current Season. The season will likely launch shortly after some server downtime, as with all seasons.

However, Epic Games has been known to delay seasons slightly to line up with other events like The Game Awards – and with Summer Game Fest set to begin on June 7, 2024, there’s a chance the new season could be pushed back back to line up with the event.

Once we have more details from Epic Games themselves as we get closer to the end of Chapter 5 Season 2, we will be sure to update this article.

‘Fortnite’ Chapter 5 Season 3 leaks

When it comes to the new season, we do have some initial data mines on what could happen in late May. Season 3 is looking like it will be “apocalypse themed”, according to ‘iFireMonkey‘ on Twitter/X (via ‘FNChiefAko’). The River Styx will reportedly expand and grow in the season and there are mentions from The Oracle about “dark skies” and “choking dust”.

So, we might get everyone’s favourite location: a poisonous swamp. We likely won’t start season teases for the new season until closer to the release in mid to late May, but we will update this article as and when we hear more.

Season 2 is still out and right now to celebrate Coachella you can check out a bunch of Coachella-themed cosmetics and play a ton of new songs in Fortnite Festival. The brand new Avatar: The Last Airbender event has also just gone live!
